Katelyn told the police that Bryant had raped her in his hotel room the night before his scheduled surgery. The case attracted national attention and wide media coverage due to Bryant’s fame and popularity, as well as the fact that he was married, while Katelyn’s censored photos were published in the news. Bryant admitted that a sexual encounter took place between him and Kately, however, he strongly denied that he raped her or in any way forced her into it.
