Born Elden Ryan Ratliff on the 30th August 1977, in Rockville, Maryland USA, he is an actor, probably still best known to the world as Fulton Reed in the film series “Mighty Ducks” (1992-1996), and most recently as Foggy Nelson in the TV series “Daredevil” (2015-2018), among many other differing roles he has secured so far in his career.

Elden is the son of George Ratliff and his wife whose identity hasn’t been revealed to the public. His father, an actor, inspired his sons to take acting seriously, and their mother would take them to commercial auditions, so Elden’s desire to become an actor strengthened. Elden has two siblings, Garette Ratliff Henson and Erick Ratliff, who are also actors. Elden is half-brother to another celebrity, Ellington Ratliff, who is a member of the band R5. the Ratliff family lived in Weehawken, New Jersey, where he attended Gary Golombek High School until its closure. Following matriculation, Elden enrolled at Emerson College.

Career Beginnings
Starting with appearances in commercials, Elden soon also made his acting debut as Paul Ryan in the soap opera “As the World Turns”, when he was only five years old. In 1985 he made a short appearance in the TV series “Amazing Stories”, and then a minor appearance in the film “Elvis and Me” in 1988. Struggling to make an impact on the acting scene in his early years, Elden had a supporting role in the comedy-drama film “The Mighty Ducks” in 1992, which although receiving negative reviews, still became a cult film and a trilogy, with sequels in 1994 and 1996, “D2: The Mighty Ducks”, and “D3: The Mighty Ducks”. Elden received praise for his performance, which enabled him new roles, and an improvement in his career.

Rise to Prominence
Elden wanted to use the momentum after “The Mighty Ducks” films became classic, and as a result secured roles in such films as the drama “Foxfire” (1996), starring Angelina Jolie, Hedy Burress and Jenny Lewis, then he starred in the Golden Globe Award-nominated comedy-drama film “The Mighty” (1998), next to Kieran Culkin and Sharon Stone, and had a notable role in the fantasy horror film “Idle Hands” in 1999. Elden was gradually becoming more attractive as an actor, which resulted in even more successful roles. He appeared in the adventure drama film “Cast Away” in 2000, starring Tom Hanks, Helen Hunt and Paul Sanchez, which received two Academy Award nominations, and won a number of prestigious awards, which helped push Elden forward in his career.
