They went on to marry in April 1990, but having spent only nine months married, the couple divorced in January of the following year. Following her divorce from the singer, Everly went on to date Mathew Nelson, but having spent one year in a relationship with him, she began dating Donovan Leitch and then Anthony Kiedis, both during 1992.
