Early Career

We all know Ana for her work at CNN, but the attractive brunette made her debut in journalism working for KCNC-TV and KMGH-TV, and then for KHQ-TV and KAYU-TV, serving as a host and reporter. After that, Ana worked for KMGH-TV7, and was a top-ranked journalist. Her talent and efforts were recognized, as she continued working hard, which ultimately drew her to the attention of CNN.

In 2013, Ana joined CNN as a correspondent, and became a part of their Investigative team, a position which allowed her to progress career-wise. Since joining the network, Cabrera has reported on several huge issues, such as Colorado’s legalization of marijuana, and the Arapahoe School shooting. In addition, she covered the 2013 floods, and in the following year, she reported on undocumented children who crossed the border unaccompanied, and on the controversial shooting of an unarmed teen, Michael Brown from Ferguson, an event that gained worldwide attention. Ana is a part of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and besides that serves on the Board of Directors of the Mi Casa Resource Center. Prior to that, she was a member of the board of the American Cancer Society.

As of the most recent past she covered the story of a family that stepped out of their car twice on a safari, and was nearly attacked by cheetahs. She also spoke to Dan Levinson, whose father Bob Levinson was detained in Iran for more than a decade, and who stated “It shows the Trump administration is committed to bringing home American hostages from countries that are not seen as friendly to the US… we’re encouraged”.
