Who is Amanda Righetti?

Born Amanda Elizabeth Righetti under the sign of Aries on the 4th of April 1983, in St. George, Utah USA, also nicknamed ‘Spaghetti Righetti’, Amanda is a 35-year-old Caucasian actress, perhaps best known for her long-term presence on the TV screen as Grace Van Pelt in 132 episodes of the CBS TV-produced crime mystery drama series entitled “The Mentalist.”  She has also had a number of other roles across films and TV programs throughout her often lucrative acting career since 1995.

Early Life: Growing up in Nevada

Amanda actually grew up in Nevada, outside Las Vegas, raised by her parents of yet unknown identities and professions, the eighth and youngest of seven sisters and a brother whose identities and ages are also unknown; one of her sisters is a dealer in Las Vegas. It is known that she had an interest in acting from a very early age, and participated in numerous school plays during her teenage years. When she was 15, she was found by the International Cover Model Search, and employed as a fashion model. It is unknown which high school she attended, though she is thought to have matriculated in 2001. She didn’t attend college, and what may have factored into that decision is the fact that her acting career started when she was 12 years old.

Career: A Young Actress

Amanda made her TV screen debut in 1995, as the younger sister of a character named Charlie in the film entitled “Love and Happiness.” Her next role came two years later, in the film “Kiss & Tell”, and four years later in the year when she matriculated, she made an appearance in an episode of the wildly popular “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” After another supporting role in 2002, Amanda got her first breakthrough as Hailey Nichol in 12 episodes of “The O.C.”, in which she remained from 2003 to 2005. From 2004 to 2005, she also starred as Tessa Lewis in 20 episodes of “North Shore”, after which she had two more supporting roles, and another in 13 episodes of “Reunion” from 2005 to 2006. One of her most prominent performances was in “Friday the 13th” in 2009, but the most important role in her career thus far began a year prior in “The Mentalist”, which she continued until 2015. While shooting the said show, she had a total of seven supporting roles, and three more after the show had ended, the last one being in 2017 in “Love at the Shore. At the moment, Amanda isn’t working on any upcoming releases.

Love Life: Her Husband is Jordan Alan

As for Amanda’s romantic involvements, it is known that she dated the writer and director Jordan Alan for a while before they married on the 29th of April 2006 – the actress Alexa Davalos was one of her bridesmaids – and they have a son named Knox Addison, born on the 10th of January 2013. They reside together as a family, although there’s no information about their house, so their living location is unknown.

Additional Information

In 2009, Amanda won the Short Film Award for Best Actress thanks to her performance in the film entitled “Matter.” In 2005, she was ranked as #59 in FHM’s (For Him Magazine) ‘100 Sexiest Women in the World’ list, and in 2006 ranked #84 in that year’s edition of the same magazine. Additionally, she was featured for the month of September 2005 in the said magazine’s pin-up calendar.

When asked about her appearance, she said ‘Guys blow my looks up more than I ever would. I guess I have issues with myself. I don’t think I’m as pretty as everybody thinks.’ Lastly, there is a movie character with her exact name, featured in the film entitled “Deep Red” by Dario Argento from 1975.

1 One time, I had this boyfriend who cheated on me. I cheated back and then we broke up and then got back together.
2 There was that pretty-girl factor. People would ostracize me without knowing a thing about me.
