Who is actress Yvette Mimieux?

Born Yvette Carmen Mimieux on the 8th of January 1942, in Los Angeles, California USA, Yvette Mimieux is a retired 76-year-old Caucasian actress, writer and producer of French and Mexican descent. She is known for the vast number of roles that she portrayed during the 60s, 70s and 80s, particularly in the then super-famous “The Time Machine” by H.G. Wells, in which she had the role of Weena. She was active in the often lucrative acting business from 1956 to 1992.

Early Life and Education

Yvette was apparently an only child, raised in the aforementioned place by her French father Rene Mimieux and her Mexican mother Carmen Montemayor. Lack of information means that virtually nothing is known about her early youth. There is just the fact that she grew up in the immediate proximity of Hollywood, and that she thus developed an interest in modeling and acting very early on, although later on disregarding the former. It is unknown what high school she went to or whether she ever matriculated, or if she went to college.

Career

As early as sixteen-years-old, Yvette debuted on screen in the 1958 film entitled “A Certain Smile”, although she wasn’t credited for this minor role. Her first credited screen role came a year later, when she starred as Ricky in a single episode of the TV series “Yancy Derringer.” In 1960 she obtained five additional roles, following an appearance in “The Bob Hope Show” as herself. In one of the 1960 movies entitled “Where the Boys Are”, she proved capable of heavy dramatics, as her character was subjected to a ‘gang rape’ sequence – up until this point, the audience was mostly used to seeing her in the role of a pretty young woman in a bikini. In 1964, she showed in an episode of “Dr. Kildare” that she could also portray a terminally ill patient, which further cemented her ability as an all-around capable actress. She kept landing lesser roles for the next six years, until in 1970 she starred in 12 episodes of “The Most Deadly Game.” She would continue the said streak for another six years, eventually landing the lead role in “Jackson County Jail,” then in 1985 she was cast in 12 episodes of “Berrenger’s”. Ultimately, her last role was as Deena Swanson in “Lady Boss” in 1992.

Love Life

It was reputed that the actress dated noted actor Glenn Ford for a time, confirmed by neither of the celebrities. Her first confirmed public relationship was her marriage with the director Stanley Donen, to whom she was married for 12 years. The couple met in 1971 and dated for one year before tying the knot on the 4th of November 1972, but they split-up on the 13th of January 1985. The next year, however, Yvette married the CEO and founder of Oakwood Worldwide, Howard F. Ruby, and the two are still together, apparently childless.

What is Yvette Mimieux’s Net Worth?

Have you ever wondered how rich Yvette Mimieux is, as of mid-2018? According to various authoritative sources, it has been estimated that the current total of Yvette’s accumulated wealth is close to $5 million, largely aided by her successes in the acting industry, while the greatest contributions come from some of her earliest films, as she was a highly paid actor back in her day. As her career had ended, the said amount can’t be expected to increase.

Body Measurements

Concerning the physical attributes of the retired actress, it is said that her vital statistics are 34-22-35, her height is 5ft 4ins (1.63m), but her body weight is unknown, and there is also no information surrounding her dress, foot and bra size. Her hair is light blond and her eyes are dark blue, while her early body shape was considered hourglass.

Social Media Presence

Due to the major influence of social networks, it is nowadays a regular thing for most celebrities to nourish a close and active relationship with their fans, for the sake of increasing the popularity of the projects they’re working on, and thus their own net worth. However, Yvette Mimieux is a retired actress, and as such, she doesn’t seem to care at all for popularity or publicity. She doesn’t own a profile on any of the social media networks, and tracing any of her private life activities is virtually impossible. Until she or her husband decide to disclose more personal information to the media, the fans will have to remain in the dark.
