Who is Nadia Bjorlin?
Nadia Bjorlin was born on 2 August 1980, in Newport, Rhode Island USA, and is an actress, model and singer, known from her appearances in numerous television shows throughout her career, including “2 Broke Girls”, “Days of Our Lives” and “Two and a Half Men”.
Early Life
Nadia is the daughter of Swedish composer Ulf Bjorlin, while her mother is of Iranian descent, and worked as an interior designer. She grew up with two siblings and three half-siblings from her mother’s first marriage. While she was born in the United States, her family moved back to Sweden when she was young and she experienced a good childhood. She learned numerous languages growing up, including Farsi, Swedish, English, French, Italian and Russian with the latter three being taught to her in school. Her family then moved from Sweden back to the US due to her father’s work. They had homes in Stockholm, Los Angeles and Palm Beach in Florida, but she attended the Palm Beach County School of the Arts along with her two brothers, and during her time there, sang with the Palm Beach Opera. In 1996, she won an international vocal competition, and the family then moved to New York City where she attended the Professional Children’s School, studying alongside numerous future professional actors such as Macaulay Culkin, Julia Stiles and Gaby Hoffman.

Acting Career Transition
In 1999 Bjorlin won the Metro Lyric Opera Competition in New York City, but after matriculating decided to focus more on acting rather than singing. She attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts, and then moved to the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, where she was honored for her skills in dance, music, as well as theatre. While studying she had her first major role, in the soap opera entitled “Days of Our Lives” playing the character Chloe Lane. She also appeared as a dancer for the music video of “Shake Your Bon-Bon”, by Ricky Martin.

In early 2003 she left “Days of Our Lives” to try her hand at a singing career, but returned in December. She stayed with the soap opera for two more years, and then left to join another show entitled “Sex, Love & Secrets”. When the show was cancelled, she appeared in guest roles in series such as “Jake in Progress” and “Out of Practice”. In 2007, she had one of her first film projects in the independent feature entitled “If I Had Known I Was A Genius”, starring Whoopi Goldberg and Tara Reid; the film was screened during the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.

Later Career
During the same year, Nadia was cast in the lead role of the film “Redline” alongside Eddie Griffin and Nathan Phillips, an action-thriller focused on street racing funded by a group of multi-millionaires, however, the film was a critical and financial failure. This led her to return to the show “Days of Our Lives” reprising her role for the next four years, but during which time she also starred as the lesbian author in the web series entitled “Venice: The Series”, which got her an Indie series award nomination.

She also had a small-role in “NCIS”, before starring in the sitcom “Two and a Half Men”, playing the role of Evelyn Harper’s lesbian lover Jill. She left “Days of Our Lives” once more in 2011 to become the star of the reality television series entitled “Dirty Soap”, also having a few minor film projects, but returned to “Days of Our Lives” in 2013 for its 50th anniversary. A few of her recent projects include a guest appearance in “2 Broke Girls”, and the television film entitled “I Know Where Lizzie Is” released in 2016.
Personal Life
For her personal life, it is known that Bjorlin dated radio personality Frank Kramer in 2000, then Bruce Willis for around a year. She later became engaged to producer Daniel Sadek who worked on her film “Redline”, but that ended too. Soon after, she began a relationship with actor Brandon Beemer which lasted for seven years until 2013, and a year later she became engaged to property developer Grant Turnbull, and they were wed in 2015. They have two children and own several pets. During her free time, she gets involved in numerous charities and fundraises for research against leukemia. Her father passed away from that disease in 1993.
