At Comerica Park, Riley Greene’s parents Alan Greene and Lisa Greene watched their son make his MLB debut.
Riley Greene made his MLB debut against the Texas Rangers on June 18, 2022, and his proud parents were there to witness it.
The pair Alan and Lisa were interviewed by the Bally Sports Network. They talked about Riley’s development into the player he is today and what it meant for him to make his professional debut at the highest level.
The pair said it meant everything for Riley to make his debut with the Tigers and were devastated when his debut was pushed back due to an injury suffered before the game. A hitting instructor, Alan Greene, calls his son the best student he ever had.
Alan Greene Is A Former Collegiate Baseball Player And A Hitting Instructor
Riley Greene’s father Alan Greene is a graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology and has earned his degree in finance.
While at the Florida Institute of Technology, Alan was a pitcher on the baseball team. After his graduation, he decided to become a baseball coach.

Prior to working as a softball coach, Alan worked as a stockbroker and left the profession to work as a recreation supervisor for the City of Sanford. He remained in the same position for six years before leaving the profession to work as a full-time baseball coach.
While at the Florida Institute of Technology, Alan played in every position possible. His career as a player ended after he developed bursitis in his shoulders. He then began his career as a coach.

Alan wanted his son to perfect his game and so the father-son duo would stay up late at night to perfect Riley’s swing.
There were times when the neighbors would consider calling Child Services after watching Alan train his son, but Alan would laugh it off saying it was only Riley’s work ethic and didn’t let him put the bat down before he perfected it.
Lisa Greene Works For DRMP
Riley Greene’s mother Lisa Greene is a vice president and chief marketing officer for DRMP in Orlando, Florida.
Lisa joined her current workplace in 1994 and later obtained her certificate in Certified Professional Sevices. Lisa, at times, is seen on her daughter’s Facebook handle, and seeing how private she is Lisa appears to stay away from social media.
