Sharon Reed was born on 12 May 1978, in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and is a journalist, best known for being the news anchor of the network CBS 46 for which she has been covering numerous time slots since 2012. She was also previously a sideline reporter for the basketball team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After matriculating from high school, she enrolled in Georgetown University located in Washington, D.C., completing a bachelor’s degree with a double major in government and English. For the next decade, she would work there at the station as a news anchor often seen in the late afternoon and late evening broadcasts. While working with the network, additional work was given to her when she was assigned as a sideline reporter to the National Basketball Association (NBA) team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, reporting on games held in the locality and interviewing popular basketball players.

After years working in Cleveland, Reed decided to leave the station to move to the Atlanta, Georgia based station CBS46 as a reporter and evening anchor. The move allowed her to work with one of the biggest television news networks in the country, and also helped increase her net worth significantly. She was mainly seen during the afternoon broadcasts from 4 to 6 pm as well as the 11 pm weekday night broadcasts.
In 2017, her popularity grew even further during one of the broadcasts nearing the end of the year, in which she addressed an email sent to her from a woman called Kathy Ray regarding a broadcast Reed did in which she brought up racial issues surrounding the two candidates running for mayor in Atlanta. The woman who sent the email accused her of “race-baiting” implying that Reed’s comments implied that only black people were allowed to talk about race. She made the email public and called out the woman for misinterpreting her words, also exposing her as a racist. The video went viral and was shared hundreds of thousands of times through various social media networks. Even “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” caught attention of the video and aired a segment about it.
Rumored Relationship and Child with LeBron James
After the birth of her daughter, a lot of speculation spread about the possible father of the child, as Sharon didn’t mention any details about the relationship which brought about the child. For the next two years, rumors about her having a relationship with LeBron James leading to the baby surfaced, especially since the two knew each other thanks to her tenure as a broadcaster in Cleveland.
To address the issue, Sharon went on air on the radio program of Ryan Cameron to confirm that the baby is not LeBron’s. She says that even with her confirmation a lot of people will still hold on to the rumor as it is a way to put her down. Aside from that she’s been linked to numerous other celebrities especially, due to her popularity and attractive looks. She mentions that professionally, she wants to be as successful as her male counterparts but when it comes to her personal life, she wants a man who can lead her.

For her personal life, not much is known about Reed’s romantic relationships, as she doesn’t like to give any information out to the media. She has a daughter though the father of her child has never been revealed publicly. Aside from the rumors surrounding her and LeBron James, there haven’t been any other popular names to make waves in news and online. She resides in Atlanta with her child, and mentioned that she enjoys the city. She also appeared nude for a story called “Body of Art” in which she covered the Cleveland installation Spencer Tunick, and has been invited as a guest onto other daytime and night time talk shows.
