Career Beginnings
Bridget made her acting debut in 1992 with the minor role of Ginger in the TV series “Saved by the Bell”, while later the same year she was chosen for the part of Lisa Fenimore in the soap opera “Santa Barbara”, and featured in over 40 episodes of the highly acclaimed TV series, which pushed her forward for the double role in the action comedy film “Last Action Hero”, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, F. Murray Abraham, and Art Carney. She continued with minor roles in successful films, such as “Higher Learning” and “Billy Madison”, both in 1995, but that was enough to be cast in one of the cult films, “Mortal Kombat” as Sonya Blade, joining other lead actors Christopher Lambert, Robin Shou, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and Linden Ashby.

Rise to Prominence and Career Decline
The role of Sonya Blade launched her to stardom, but she failed to use the momentum as she only appeared in a minor role in the film “Nixon” (1996), and co-starred in the Japanese film “Sweet Evil”, also known as “Final Vendetta”. However, before the ‘90s ended she made a couple notable appearances, such as in the romantic comedy-drama “The Real Blonde” in 1997, starring Matthew Modin, Catherine Keener and Daryl Hannah, featured in the horror film “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, and in 1998 starred in the not so successful drama film “Starstruck”. Since the start of the 2000s, Bridgette’s career has slowly declined, and she became more focused on her family. She remained active as an actress until 2008, during which time she appeared in such films as “Extreme Ops” (2002), and then in 2005 she had a supporting role in the film “Shopgirl”, an adaptation of the novel written by Steve Martin.
