Education
Upon matriculation, Amanda enrolled into the University of California, Santa Cruz, but soon transferred to California State University, Chico, from which she graduated with a BA degree in Theatre in 1995. After that, she continued her education at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, from which she earned her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree. Career Beginnings
Amanda’s dream to become a professional actress came true in 1995, when she made her debut film appearance as Dannie Baldwin in the TV thriller film entitled “Stolen Innocence”. Her next major role came four years later, when she portrayed Miss Minneapolis in Michael Patrick Jann’s black comedy film “Drop Dead Gorgeous” (1999), starring next to Kirsten Dunst, Denise Richards and Ellen Barkin, which was followed by her playing Sarah Parker in the comedy drama “A Little Inside” in the same year.
