Anthony made his stage debut in the play “Mahajana Yuddhaya” in 1979. He made his film debut in the 1980 film “Sankraanthi”. Anthony went on to star in many popular films, including “Jullietge Bhoomiikawa” (1998), “Dharmayuddhaya” (2017), and “Ekageyi Sokari”. He also directed and produced several films.
In addition to his work in film and television, Anthony was also a prolific writer. Anthony wrote novels, short stories, plays, and essays. He was also a popular columnist.
Anthony died on 9 October 2023 at the age of 65 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, due to injuries sustained in a car accident. He was survived by his wife and three children.
