Girish Bapat, a guardian minister in Pune, will have a bypass procedure on Monday at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital after receiving a cardiac vessel blockage diagnosis.
According to a medical bulletin published by the hospital administration, Bapat went to the facility for a normal checkup and had no health issues.
“He was identified as having cardiac vessel blockage after a stress test and an angiography.
As a preventative measure, Bapat will undergo a bypass procedure on Monday, according to Dhananjay Kelkar, the hospital’s medical director.
The medical alert stated, “Bapat is in good health and has requested that all of his friends, well-wishers, and Party workers not visit him for the next week to allow relaxation and quick recuperation.”

Political Career of Girish Bapat
Bapat first entered politics by working for the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh. In 1980, he was named Secretary of the BJP in Pune City.
He gained three additional terms after being first elected to the Pune Municipal Corporation in a by-election in 1983.
In 1986–1987, he was chosen to lead the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Standing Committee. In 1995, he won his first election to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
He was chosen as the Krishna Valley Development Corporation’s Director in 1997. He was chosen to represent Pune in the Lok Sabha in the 2019 General Elections.
