The author and motivational speaker wrote in a black square under an Instagram photo with a broken heart emoji that they were heartbroken and had no words to express their feelings. In closing her speech, Rachel urged her listeners to pray for their kids as they face the unimaginable.

In a now-deleted Instagram post from nearly a month after the announcement, Dave Hollis addressed the divorce. He claimed Rachel told him that he could only become the man and the woman were each truly meant to be apart when she filed for divorce two days after the couple celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary.
Additionally, Hollis stated that his wife’s post about their memories made him feel ashamed of a future vision that was kept to himself.
