There has been a major staff re-shuffle at one of Australia’s major producers of reality TV.
Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia – makers of The Bachelor, The Masked Singer and Dancing with the Stars – has announced new roles for two of their top executives.
Rani Sekold has been promoted to the newly created job of Executive Business Director, while Simon Vaughton is now Head of Production, Unscripted, reports TV Tonight.
Sekold will oversee business operations, including production.
Meanwhile, Vaughton will lead Unscripted production content, and work with Johnny Lowry, Head of Originals, and Caroline Swift, who is Head of Entertainment.

The management changes come after Warner Bros. and broadcaster Channel 10 had a massive flop with The Bachelors earlier this year.
Once a reliable ratings hit, the season premiere of the dating show in January launched to a mere 309,000 metro viewers.
This was 18,000 fewer than The Project, which was broadcast beforehand.
With viewership at an all-time low, industry insiders are speculating that season 10’s low numbers may be the nail in the coffin for the dating series.

A well-placed source told Daily Mail Australia the program is ‘done and dusted’ and will not be returning in any compacity in 2024.
The prime time show once commanded about a million viewers a night in its 2018 heyday when the NRL’s ‘Honey Badger’ Nick Cummins drew in 940,000 fans in the capital cities alone.
But the franchise and Ten have been in rapid decline ever since. Last year’s premiere was branded a disaster when it only attracted 482,000 metro viewers.

Other Warner Bros. produced reality content has fared better with viewers in the past year.
Bizarre celebrity singing competition The Masked Singer pulled in a strong audience last season, and scored a massive 955,000 total audience across Australia for its finale last August.
Warner Bros. Australia, meanwhile, has had success with two of their Australian made dramas.
The Twelve starring Sam Neill and Love Me, starring Hugo Weaving, both streaming on Binge, have been a hit with critics and viewers.
Warner Bros. Australia also produce The Bachelorette, Selling House Australia, Who Do You Think You Are? and The Celebrity Apprentice.
