Randy Leach Missing Case Details

Leach had a Friday night out with pals on April 15, 1998. He hung out on the street in adjacent Linwood, Kansas, and took a look at a ’66 Mustang he was having restored.

Eventually arrived at a rural Leavenworth County party. At that point, according to Leach’s mother, he simply vanished. “I have to know what happened,” stated Alberta Leach.

The teen’s party friends inform her that he appeared unhappy. When they questioned him about the problem, Leach stated he had no idea.

Neither anyone saw him consuming alcohol nor anyone witnessed him leave and no one has seen him ever since.

Alberta Leach has grown more and more furious with investigators over the years since Randy disappeared because she feels they haven’t given the search for her son their all.

“Kids don’t simply disappear. Randy chose not to flee. My son experienced something,” Alberta Leach remarked.

She doesn’t think the identity of that will ever be discovered by investigators. “It’s been 10 years, and they haven’t found anything,” she stated. “We’ve been so frustrated and angry.”

Randy Leach Case Update

She had gone to court a few years prior to demand to see the investigative file for the case from the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office, but the judge turned down the request.

The mother, who has good reason to be upset, together with a few friends and allies, held a protest at the Kansas State Capitol last month.

They presented petitions requesting the formation of a task group to look into the matter by Kansas Governor Laura Kelly.

Everyone has lost hope. Many years have passed since the last major announcement and Randy Leach’s mother is tired of waiting.

Alberta Leach stated, “I want to bring him home, yeah.” Now that someone else is gone, the emotional roller coaster of looking for her kid hurts much more.
