Omri Haim Katz was born on 30 May 1976, in Los Angeles, California, USA, and is a retired actor, best known for his work in the Disney comedy-fantasy film entitled “Hocus Pocus”. He’s also known for his roles in other television projects, such as “Dallas”, and “Adventures in Dinosaur City”.

Continued Work – Eerie, Indiana and Matinee

Katz’ work lasted for a total of 149 episodes over the span of eight years. After his run with the show, he made a guest appearance in “Simon & Simon” before becoming a main cast member of the show “Eerie, Indiana”, in which he played the character Marshall Teller. The show ran for 19 episodes ,and focused on him as a teenager whose family moves to the town of Eerie, Indiana. During his time there, he experiences numerous bizarre events, such as urban legends and a group of intelligent dogs planning to take over the world.

After his season run with the show, his next big project would be the television film entitled “Adventures in Dinosaur City”. He also had guest roles in “Zorro” and “The Torkelsons” before working on another film entitled “Matinee”, which follows an independent filmmaker during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Stars in the film include John Goodman, Cathy Moriarty, Simon Fenton, and Katz, with the movie being well received with good reviews. During its run, it ranked sixth at the box office.

Hocus Pocus and Later Career

In 1993, Omri was cast in the Disney film entitled “Hocus Pocus”, which starred Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker. The show follows a villainous trio of witches who are accidentally resurrected by a boy played by Omri, in Salem, Massachusetts. The film was not a success and even lost Disney around $16.5 million, yet over the years it has become a cult film, often aired annually on Disney Channel and Freeform.

Around the same time, he gained a recurring role in “The John Larroquette Show”, playing the character Tony Hemingway, in the sitcom which starred Larroquette after his run in “Night Court”, as the character Dan Fielding. The show took place in a seedy bus terminal located in St. Louis, Missouri, following several characters who worked there, along with the lead character’s struggle with alcoholism. He appeared in six episodes of the show over the next two years, and in 1996 appeared in the television film reunion of “Dallas”, entitled “Dallas: J.R. For his personal life, not much is known in terms of Katz romantic relationships. as after his rise to fame as a teenage actor, not much has been revealed about him outside his work. According to him, he plays the drums and is fluent in Hebrew – his name in Hebrew means a “sheaf of grain descended of a priest”.
