Mikaela spent an idyllic childhood with her parents and her three younger siblings in Colbert; she is especially close to her younger sisters Jazlyn and McKenzie. Ever since she was two years old, her parents prepared her for a career in show business, starting with taking dance classes and participating in local commercials and school plays. When she was in high school, Mikaela led the school dance team and was one of the cheerleaders, as well as a member of the Debate club. She subsequently studied Loyola Marymount University’s theater program, from which she graduated in 2006.
