In response to a call reporting a person shot at 1:03 am on Sunday, police officers arrived at the crime scene.

The press release from the authorities revealed that officers found a guy with at least one gunshot wound in the nightclub’s parking lot at 8801 N. Milwaukee Ave. and started lifesaving procedures.
The Niles Fire Department transported Mark Asber to a nearby hospital, where he was subsequently declared dead.
According to a police report on Monday, the victim has been identified as Mark H. Asber, 22, of Niles’ Wisner Street.
Officials further disclosed that Niles police detectives are collaborating with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the case. They have revealed that Asber knew the shooter before the incident.
Police stated that the event appeared to be isolated and that the neighborhood was not in danger.

Alan J. Kettina Arrested And Charged
Following a shooting in the northern suburb of Niles outside of a nightclub, a corrections officer for the Cook County Sheriff’s office has been charged with murder.
Alan Kettina, 25, of Salem Walk, was charged with first-degree murder. Kettina was a corrections officer at the time of the incident, confirmed the Cook County Sheriff’s office.

In connection with a criminal investigation being carried out by the Nile Police Department, he was de-deputized on Sunday.

Alan Kettina, the suspect in Mark Asber’s death, is expected in bond court on Tuesday.
