The footballer was born on November 7, 1990, in Madrid, Spain but was raised nearby Illescas, a town in Toledo. The star spent most of his childhood there, alongside his parents.
Jose De Gea, his father, is a former Getafe goalkeeper, while his mother is a cleaner. His father was well-known for his excellent saves.
As a result, being born into a sporting family, David has always enjoyed athletics, and his mother values sports and academics.

De Gea explained, “My mother would call two, three, or four times a week.” She has always expressed concern for me. She was always concerned about how I balanced my education and sports.
