Kyrie Irving has had tumultuous tenure while playing from the Brooklyn Nets. At the start of 2021 he became was thrown into drama for missing games and then appearing to have a birthday party. Since then things just haven’t slowed down. Irving would soon become the face of the anti-vaccine stance in sports. Weeks ago Kyrie posted a link to the controversial film Hebrew To Negros: Wake Up America and received his loudest backlash yet. The nets eventually suspended Irving and complied a list of things he needed to complete to return.
Nike Parts Ways With Kyrie Irving Over Endorsing Anti-semitic Film
Even with Kyrie Irving completing the tasks asked of him to return to the Brooklyn Nets, Nike wasn’t impressed. The iconic sneaker brand signed Kyrie in 2011 and announced their partnership was on hold weeks prior. Today Shams revealed Nike has officially parted ways with Irving, noting he was a top seller for Nike.

Kyrie responded to the news exactly how we would expect by claiming he is essentially free. Hinting that the relationship between him and Nike was already soured before this latest incident.
Irving did take time to thank his fans who spent their money on his products. It’ll be interesting to see where he takes his talents and what companies will welcome him.
