Tragically, Robo Shankar collapsed while on a film set in Chennai and was rushed to GEM Hospital in Perungudi, where he was in critical condition.
He was battling a severe gastrointestinal bleed and multiorgan dysfunction due to a complicated abdominal issue. Prior to this, he had been undergoing treatment for jaundice, which had caused him to lose a significant amount of weight.
Despite receiving intensive care, his health deteriorated, and he passed away between 8:30 and 9:05 PM on September 18. His untimely death has left fans, colleagues, and industry stalwarts in deep sorrow.
