Early Life and Acting Beginnings

Meghan attended Royal Oak Middle School, and later Claremont Secondary School. During her time at Royal Oak, she was given the Fine Arts Award for Acting which led her to decide to pursue a career in the craft. Three years later, she got her first professional acting role in a Fox Family Channel television movie entitled “The Darklings”, in which she appeared alongside Timothy Busfield and Suzanne Somers.

Shortly after that, she became a guest on the show “The Crow: Stairway to Heaven”, which is a drama series based on the film “The Crow” and takes its inspiration from the 1980s comic book series of the same name. Afterwards, she landed her first regular television role in the series “Higher Ground” in 2000, starred alongside AJ Cook and Hayden Christensen in the drama series which follows a group of teenagers attending a therapeutic board school, and dealing with problems of abuse, addiction and other disorders.

Acting Prominence

During the same year, she appeared in another series entitled “2ge+her” before joining the cast of “Vampire High” the following year, a show focused on a group of young vampires attending a boarding school that housed mortals. In the next few years, she made guest appearances in numerous television shows and movies, including “The Outer Limits”, “Glory Days”, and “Dark Angel”. She also starred in “National Lampoon’s Thanksgiving Family Reunion”, “Smallville”, and “The Collector”. In 2004, she made her feature film debut in “Decoys”, a horror film originally broadcast through the Sci Fi Channel.

In 2006, Ory was cast in the Hallmark mini-series entitled “Merlin’s Apprentice” which is a sequel to another miniseries entitled “Merlin”. She then became a part of another feature film entitled “John Tucker Must Die” which is about a trio of girls who plot against a manipulative John Tucker. The following year, she had a role in “Blonde and Blonder” which starred Denise Richards and Pamela Anderson, and had a guest role in the series “Flash Gordon”. In 2009, she made a guest appearance in the first season of “Knight Rider”, in the role of Megan Connelly.

Later Projects and Once Upon a Time

Meghan’s next project would be the horror film entitled “Dark House”, which starred her alongside Jeffrey Combs. In 2010, she became a guest in the Canadian series “Sanctuary”, and then appeared in a Keystone Light beer commercial. The following year, she was cast in one of her most notable roles, in the ABC series “Once Upon a Time”, appearing in most of the first season episodes. During the second season, she was promoted to a main cast member, but left after the end of the season to star on a new show entitled “Intelligence”, which was a short-lived project due to low ratings, so she returned as a guest in “Once Upon a Time” during its fourth and fifth seasons. One of her latest projects is “Chesapeake Shores” which is a Hallmark original series, in the role is a divorced woman who decides to return to her hometown with her two children.
