First Big Brother housemate to be evicted REVEALED: Contestant makes swift exit in dramatic scenes following emotional round of nominations

Big Brother’s Farida was the first housemate to be evicted from the ITV revival series of the show on Friday.

The make-up artist jumped up and down and flung her arms in the air as she shouted: ‘Yes!’

She proceeded to hug her fellow housemates before making a swift exit to meet show hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best.

Farida was up for eviction against NHS manager Kerry who was in tears as she waited in suspense for the news to be announced.

An excited Farida said: ‘I had the most amazing time. Thank you every body for making the effort and coming tonight.’

Earlier in the episode, the housemates each voted for who they wanted to be put up for nomination.

In a major change for this series, the contestants were only allowed to vote for one person, changed decades of tradition as they voted for two in previous series. 

Residents of the show’s famous house were forbidden from voting for Olivia after she won immunity having passed her secret mission which saw her successfully convince her fellow housemates she was the least entertaining of the bunch.

Chanelle was the first into the Diary Room to reveal who she had chosen to nominated.

Choosing Kerry, she said: ‘Kerry, because there’s been numerous occasions where she shoots people down… mainly towards Farida,’ before adding: ‘I find it uncomfortable.’

Hallie was next in, choosing Farida. She said: ‘She can be annoying at times and I feel like she hasn’t made the best of efforts to get to know anyone.

She added that Farida ‘talks over people, interrupts people’ and ‘wants to be the leader of the house’.

Henry was next to nominate, also choosing Farida, explaining: ‘She’s not been the easiest person. 

‘I was having a conversation on the bed with Zak and he was asking about my boarding school experiences. 

‘She was talking over me telling Zak I learnt classical music which didn’t actually happen.

‘ I just found she’s quite opinionated on something she doesn’t have a perspective on.’

Matty was next to nominate, choosing Kerry. He said: ‘She can be quite loud and sometimes her voice can just go through me… she can be overpowering in group situations and she can moan a lot. 

‘It upsets me when people aren’t grateful.’

Trish chose Paul, explaining: ‘I don’t get much deepness from him and I think we’ve had enough days to get to know people up close. I’m quite stimulated by deep conversations and I don’t see he’s capable of that.’

Zak chose Henry, saying: ‘I feel like he’s not spoken to everyone in the house properly. I feel like he’s just keeping himself to the people he’s most comfortable being around.’

Yinrun nominated Kerry, saying: ‘My personality coming into this house, I was very shy. I feel a little bit distant while I was trying to talk to her… It is very distant when I feel like someone is not that interested in me.’

Jordan chose Paul, saying: ‘I don’t really appreciate his humour. All the bodily fluid jokes, I don’t appreciate whatsoever.’

Dylan chose Farida, exclaiming: ‘How can you be in the house with people for five days and not know her names… She asked me Chanelle’s name today, she called her Janine or something. For her to keep calling me Dean… It’s rude.’

Paul nominated Farida, saying: ‘She told me the reason she wants to be on Big Brother is that she wants to spread the word of Islam and I thought that was amazing but then she later gave other reasons. I don’t really know where she stands.’

Olivia also chose Farida, saying: ‘The day she ate my salmon and corn… she ate my corn and with the same spoon she ate my salmon. It wound me up.’

Noky chose Kerry, explaining: ‘She speaks in a negative way about other housemates… to their face or away from them. She can be quite patronising towards Farida.’

Tom voted for Farida, saying: ‘It does sometimes feel a little more I’m getting spoken at rather than having a conversation.’

Farida nominated Kerry, explaining: ‘She just likes a whole load of gossip… I hate people that gossip. She has mini tantrums. She’s a grown woman that needs to get it together and deal with it.’

Jenkin chose Farida, saying: ‘With Farida I feel like I’m being spoke to, not with. It’s a very one way conversation and it makes me feel like I’m wasting me time. I feel like she has a hidden agenda.

‘When you’re talking about fame and money, and what you can do on the outside, I think, “Is that all you’re here for?”‘

Kerry chose Farida, saying: ‘She’s hard work. I find her selfish and I’m finding her hard work at the moment… I feel like she looks down on me quite a bit… That doesn’t make me feel happy inside.’

Big Brother announced that Farida and Kerry would be the first housemates facing eviction after their fellow housemates had their say.

Upon learning her fate Farida was left fuming over the news as she locked horns with Olivia.

Farida was suspicious that the two oldest housemates had found themselves up for eviction, convinced that the younger contestants had banded together.

She told Kerry: ‘All the youngsters stuck together and they got out the oldest people.’

Overhearing the conversation Olivia struggled to stifle a laugh which resulted in yet another furious clash between the pair.

Elsewhere, Jenkin suspected Kerry was not handling the news as cooly as she appeared, telling Big Brother: ‘I reckon, it’s gonna brew and the more that Kerry is saying she’s not bothered it’s going to sort of start to seem like she is… which might wind up Farida.’

‘It’s like the battle of the titans isn’t it, the two maternal figures.’

Kerry and Farida were revealed to the public as the first two housemates of the revival to be up for eviction during Thursday’s episode of Big Brother: Late & Live.

However, the news left fans of the show gutted, with many predicting there would be less drama with one of the pair leaving the house.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote:  ‘Farida and Kerry being the only ones up for eviction is going to rob us of so much potential aggro. gutted.’

While a second posted: ‘I didn’t wanna believe that they would put two iconic housemates Farida and Kerry up for eviction on FIRST WEEK.’

Someone else shared: ‘If we lose Farida or Kerry tomorrow it’s going to be a DISASTER as this tension  thats brewing is giving me life and I need to see them carry on driving each other potty.’

And someone else wrote: ‘Ughhhh why do I have to pick between Kerry and Farida when people like Dylan, Zak, Paul, Noky, Tom Henry and Matty exist.’

A fifth commented: ‘Can’t stand either of them, but they offer great entertainment value and I really don’t want either Farida or Kerry to gooo.’

With a seventh writing: ‘If I had my way both Kerry and Farida would be staying!!! I was gagging to see their feud hit boiling point, so many others deserved to go first.’
