Born Danay Aguilar Garcia on the 5th July 1984, in Havana, Cuba, she is the daughter of a Chinese-Italian father and Spanish-Cuban mother. Unfortunately, she hasn’t shared their names and professions, nor revealed whether she is a single child or has siblings. From an early age, Danay was intrigued by the performing arts, especially dancing, and she started attending dancing lessons when she was 10 years old. Since then, she learned ballet, salsa, African dance, belly dancing, Flamenco and Meringue, and others.
The family immigrated from Cuba to the US in 2003, when she started learning English under teachers and dialect coaches, such as Robert Easton, Joel Goldes and John Sperry.

Once she settled in the US, she her launched modeling career, beginning in commercials, while she also made a few notable magazine appearances, such as in Italian Vogue, among others.
