A lady who was slain in an alleged domestic violence incident at one of Perth’s most opulent hotels had one of her last social media posts showing her “loving life” before her tragic demise.
On Monday morning, the corpse of family law attorney Alice Rose McShera, 34, was discovered at Crown Towers Perth in Burswood.
Ms. McShera shared on Sunday that she was spending the night at the hotel with her fans on Facebook, where she wrote that she was “spending the night before my next surgery… drinking Dom, watching old DVDs, and loving life.”
She called her best friend, a lawyer, “Lawyer of the Year” and thanked her for the hotel stay.
Charged with Ms. McShera’s murder, 42-year-old Cameron John Pearson appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.

Cameron John Pearson, a father-of-one, is accused of killing McShera. It’s believed that when the attorney took on Pearson as a client, the two started dating.
Pearson was discovered in the room by emergency services as well, allegedly suffering from severe injuries that he had caused himself.
The 42-year-old Bibra Lake resident was detained, treated at Royal Perth Hospital, and then released from the hospital when staff determined his condition was stable.
According to DeSanges, McShera and Pearson are thought to have had a domestic relationship. It’s believed that they started dating in January.
Wearing white coveralls, Pearson made a fleeting appearance in Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday. The public and media members, who looked like relatives, crowded the small courtroom.
Pearson spoke with his attorney twice during the hearings, but he refused to recognize that he understood the charge. Pearson was not compelled to make a plea.

While expressing his sympathies to McShera’s family, Inspector Geoff DeSanges also noted the difficult position first responders, including hotel security personnel, would have faced in the room.
“It would have been an uncomfortable scene because the male had injuries that we assume were self-inflicted, and the woman had clear terrible injuries from head trauma,” DeSanges stated.
He added that a family member had been attempting to contact one of the guests and had communicated with the hotel, informing security of the situation.
According to DeSanges, McShera and Pearson are thought to have had a domestic relationship. It’s believed that they started dating in January.
“Even if someone has been charged, the situation is still under investigation, so we still need to determine the whole conditions of the relationship and what led to the circumstances of yesterday. All the indicators of domestic violence seem to be present in the occurrence.,” he stated.
McShera was described as “a beautiful, much-loved girl who will be deeply missed” by her father to 9News.
