Alfie Woollett, a man from Cornwall, attempted to climb the Fire escape at Kings nightclub in Cardiff on March 4, 2017, but collided with his head and later died.
As he climbed a Fire escape outside a nightclub in Cardiff, a “respected and loved” son plunged to his death.
An inquest heard that on March 4, 2017, Alfie Woollett, a 21-year-old Cardiff Met student from Looe in Cornwall, died after hitting his head while attempting to climb a Fire escape at Kings at Church Place.
An inquest into Mr. Woollett’s death was held in Pontypridd Coroners’ Court. It was revealed that Mr. Woollett had been ordered to leave the club after a fancy dress Party by security because he was “intoxicated.”
But after exiting Kings, Mr. Woollett attempted to enter the club again by scaling a Fire escape at the back of the building. Let’s get to know more about Alfie Woollett Death.
Alfie Woollett Death: 21-Year-Old Student Died After Falling
Talking about Alfie Woollett death, Alfie had attended a fancy dress Party at the club and was asked to leave by security because he was “intoxicated,” according to testimony given during a coroner’s inquest into his death held at Pontypridd Coroners’ Court.
Yet after exiting Kings, Alfie, a Cardiff Met student, sought to reenter the club by scaling the back of the building’s Fire escape.
Alfie, born in Medway, Kent, lost his balance and collapsed, suffering severe brain injuries before passing away.
The young guy was more than four times over the legal drink-drive limit at the time of his death, according to the findings of a toxicological analysis.
That was “a level which in itself can be lethal,” according to the coroner.

Dr. Sarah-Jane Richards, an assistant coroner, stated: “He and his pals had gone to a fancy dress party at the Kings nightclub in Cardiff, but he was sent away from the establishment because of his intoxication.

“Next, Mr. Woollett tried to ascend the Fire escape at the back of the building, but he lost his balance and fell, suffering severe head injuries from which he did not survive.
The Kings nightclub’s back entrance was where life was pronounced extinct.

In May, Looe Town Football Club, Mr. Woollett’s football team in Cornwall, hosted a game in his honor that drew more than 150 people.
Days following Mr. Woollett’s passing, Cardiff University and Cardiff Met University observed silence before their match.
The Cyncoed Cup, a competition in Cardiff, has also been renamed the Alfie Woollett Cup for the upcoming season.
Looe Town club chairman Pete Lewis issued the following statement on March 6 on behalf of the club: “As a community, a club, as teams, and as individuals, we are devastated to hear of the passing of Alfie Woollett, one of our own.
Alfie spent several years playing for the club, initially as a young player and then for the men’s squad.
His contagious smile, cheerful demeanor, spirit of competition, talent, and tenacity made him a player everyone admired and adored.
We remember a great team player; you were one of the best. Your family and I will all remember what a nice person you were.
For many years, the entire family has played a significant role in our football community and has provided tremendous support to the team.
Our thoughts are with the family during this incredibly trying time, and we send them all our love, courage, and support.
