Ahed Tamimi was born to a sound family on January 31, 2001. She was raised by her parents, Bassem Tamimi and Nariman al-Tamimi, in Nabi Salih, West Bank, Palestine.
Her father, Bassem, is a Palestinian grassroots activist. Not only that, but he is also an organizer of protests against Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank.
Bassem was convicted by an Israeli military court in 2012 for sending people to throw stones and holding a march without a permit.
