44-year-old Adam Brody was born in San Diego, California, on December 15, 1979. 

His Jewish parents, Valerie Jill and Mark Alan Brody, named him Adam Jared Brody. His father was an attorney, and his mother was a graphic artist.

He had a bar mitzvah ceremony and grew up celebrating Hanukkah with his younger twin brothers, Sean and Matthew, born in 1985.

Adam had poor grades but convinced his parents to allow him to attend college in Los Angeles after graduation. Later, he hired an acting coach and signed with a talent manager.
