A 19-year-old woman has died in a fiery car crash in Adelaide overnight.

Witnesses scrambled to help the two drivers caught up in the collision at Waterloo Corner, and while one of them made it out alive, 19-year-old Amy couldn’t be saved.

The crash unfolded on the Port Wakefield Highway. It’s believed the young woman pulled out into the path of an oncoming tipper truck shortly after midnight.

The truck driver, who was taken to hospital with injuries following the accident, is assisting police with their investigation.
