Prayers are coming in for former President Trump after he was seen with blood on his face following shots that rang out at a Pennsylvania rally Saturday afternoon.

Chaos broke out after Secret Service cleared the area and rushed the former president off stage.  

Rep. Dan Meuser, R-Pa., was standing front row at the rally along with Reps. Mike Kelly and GOP Senate candidate Dave McCormick. 

Meuser said he heard between eight to 10 shots ring out as screams rippled through the crowd, according to Fox News. 

He added that it appeared there were multiple people in the crowd may have been impacted by the bullets.

The protective detail issued a statement shortly after the incident declaring ‘the former President is safe.’ 

His campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung thanked law enforcement and first responders ‘for their quick action during this heinous act.’

‘[Trump] is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.’

Reactions started flowing in from members of the left and the right sending well wishes to the former president and condemning any form of political violence.

President Biden received an ‘initial briefing on the incident at Former President Trump’s rally,’ according to a statement from the White House.

House Speaker Mike Johnson wrote on X: ‘Praying for President Trump.’

‘Karen and I are praying for President Trump and urge every American to join us,’ said Trump’s former Vice President Mike Pence. 

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries: ‘My thoughts and prayers are with former President Trump. I am thankful for the decisive law enforcement response. America is a democracy. Political violence of any kind is never acceptable.’

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell: ‘Tonight, all Americans are grateful that President Trump appears to be fine after a despicable attack on a peaceful rally. Violence has no place in our politics. We appreciate the swift work of the Secret Service and other law enforcement.’ 

Trump’s rumored vice presidential picks also poured in support.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio wrote on X that he thanks God for protecting the former president. 

Another rumored VP candidate Sen. JD Vance of Ohio stated: ‘Trump campaign saying the president is OK. Thank God. Hope everyone else is safe.’ 

‘Shots fired at Trump rally. Praying for President Trump, his family and our entire nation,’ wrote Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody on X.
