WorkSafe is set to launch an investigation after a man was killed while at an industrial site in Melbourne's north this morning.

Police believe the man was struck by a loader at the site on Maygar Boulevard in Broadmeadows about 9.45am.

Paramedics treated the man but he died at the scene.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

Police said investigations are ongoing into the exact circumstances of the incident and the death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
