The worker, aged in his 20s, fell three metres and was impaled on his buttocks at a worksite on Talavera Road at Macquarie Park shortly before 11am, NSW Ambulance has confirmed.

The man is fully alert and conscious with non-life-threatening injuries and remains on the scene.

Paramedics and ambulances are also on the scene and are assisting in the extraction process.

The situation is still developing and the man will likely be winched out of the area.

SafeWork NSW has been contacted for comment.
