Worker, 37, killed while changing billboard in front of NYC Victoria’s Secret store after MTA bus clips small boom lift

A 37-year-old worker was killed when an MTA bus traveling in midtown Manhattan struck a small boom lift on the sidewalk and flung the man who was in its bucket onto the pavement, according to police.

The victim fell 20 feet from the lift while he was apparently changing a billboard atop a Victoria’s Secret store on Fifth Avenue around 9:30 p.m., according to law enforcement sources and photos from the scene.

The worker was raced to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead, cops said.

His identity hasn’t been revealed pending family notification.

Photos from the scene show the boom lift on the sidewalk in front of the lingerie and clothing store with a huge photo of a scantily dressed Gigi Hadid halfway pulled down.

It appears the bus clipped the lift while traveling south on the avenue, badly damaging the top of the front right corner of the bus, according to photos.

The MTA bus operator remained on scene and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
