An Adelaide concertgoer has left a Gun ‘N Roses gig bruised and bloodied after lead vocalist Axl Rose hurled his microphone into the crowd on Tuesday night.

Rebecca Howe was enjoying the final song of the rockers’ set when Rose threw his mic into the jam-packed sea of revellers – a move not uncommon during concerts – which hit her in the face.

To make matters worse, a nearby punter managed to secure the microphone from the concert floor before Howe could pick it up.

Howe said the microphone landed squarely on her nose and that she was covered in “blood everywhere”.

“I was in Diamond Standing, so it wasn’t even right at the front, and it was the very last song, Take Me Down To Paradise City,” Howe told the Adelaide Advertiser.

“He took a bow and then he launched the microphone out to the crowd … and then bang, right on the bridge of my nose.”

“There was this huge kerfuffle as this man tried to get the microphone … he held it up like a victory, ‘I got it, I got it’, while I was trying to keep my composure.”

Howe said she was hyperventilating from the shock.

“An off-duty police officer pulled me to the side because I was in shock and hyperventilating, my mind went, ‘Oh my God, my face is caved in’,” she said.

“I had blood dripping down the front of me.”

US rockers Guns ‘N Roses are currently in the middle of their Australia and New Zealand tour.

Tuesday’s injury is actually not the first time a fan has been injured down under during their shows.

In 2013, a Perth man also copped a microphone to the face, which damaged his two front teeth.
