A woman has died and 10 people were hospitalised after a three-vehicle crash in south-east Queensland overnight.
Police say about 9.40pm, a Hyundai Imax and Honda Odyssey were parked in the shoulder of the right lane on Gympie Arterial Road at Bald Hills, in northern Brisbane, when a Toyota Hiace van crashed into the vehicles from behind.
The woman, who was in the Honda Odyssey, died at the scene.
Ten people were taken to hospital for treatment for various injuries.
Of those, three men are currently fighting for their lives.
One has head and leg injuries, one suffered head and limb injuries, while another man was also taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The seven other injured – four women and three men – were taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Gympie Arterial Road was closed for four hours but reopened early today.
Police forensic crash investigators are continuing to investigate.
