A woman has been killed following a drive-by shooting in south-west Sydney.

The woman, 65, was shot at a home on Dickens Road in Ambarvale at about 11pm on Monday.

Paramedics treated her after she was left with a gunshot wound to the leg. She died at the scene.

A man, 34, and woman, 21, were also at the home, however they were uninjured. 

NSW Police has launched an investigation into the incident.
