A woman is fighting for life after she was allegedly left on the road from a two car crash in Melbourne‘s south-west.

The 53-year-old woman was rushed to hospital after emergency services were called to a two car crash on Dunnings Road in Point Cook, just after 11pm on Friday night.

Victoria Police were told a purple Holden Commodore was travelling west when it allegedly ran a red light at the Broadwalk Boulevard intersection.

“The Holden collided with another vehicle, a grey Volkswagen Golf travelling south on Boardwalk boulevard,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

“It’s alleged the driver of the Holden failed to stop fleeing the scene on foot.”

The 25-year-old driver and passenger allegedly left the woman in a critical condition.

“Police located and arrested the driver of the Holden a short time later at his address,” police said.

“A 53-year-old Point Cook woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening-injuries.”

Investigations are on going.
