A woman has been charged with a man’s murder after his body was found inside a surfboard bag on the driveway of a rural home in northern New South Wales.

A crime scene was established and a strike force was established, including local police and the state’s homicide squad, to investigate his death.

Police said they have since arrested a 35-year-old woman on Loftus Street in Nambucca Heads, who was taken to Macksville Police Station and charged with murder (domestic violence).

The woman was refused bail and will appear at Port Macquarie Local Court today.

“Police will be alleging in court the woman and man were known to each other,” police said.
