A woman shot by police during a confrontation in Melbourne earlier this month has now been charged.
The incident took place on April 4 when officers tried to intercept an allegedly stolen Ford Fairmont on Police Road in Mulgrave.
A 28-year-old woman, who was the passenger of the car, was allegedly armed a gun when she was shot by police through the windshield.
The chase went on for 12 hours before it came to an end.
She was hospitalised up until today, when she was released and charged with several offences including aggravated carjacking, theft of motor vehicle, attempted armed robbery and more.
She will face Melbourne Magistrates Court tomorrow.
A 27-year-old man, the alleged driver of the vehicle, is already before the courts.
He was charged with 21 offences including reckless conduct endangering life, prohibited person possessing a firearm, aggravated carjacking, robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.
