
Woman and child are fighting for life after a horror head-on crash near Brisbane

A woman and child have been rushed to hospital after they were trapped in their car following a horror collision north of Brisbane.
Three people were injured in the head on crash on the D’Aguilar Highway at Caboolture just after 7am on Monday.
The child was initially trapped in the wreckage after the two-car crash but was able to be freed and taken to hospital.
The child remains in a serious condition with head, pelvis and significant leg injuries.
The woman sustained critical injuries while a man was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed.
Multiple paramedic crews and police were called to the scene.
Major traffic delays are expected with motorists urged to avoid the area.
The highway has since been closed at the Williams Bridge overpass as police divert traffic.
