Woman, 31, fatally struck by hit-and-run driver in NYC: NYPD

A woman was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in Lower Manhattan, police said.

The victim was crossing the roadway at FDR Drive and East Houston Street at around 12:15 a.m. Saturday when she was struck by a black sedan traveling northbound in the left lane, the NYPD said.

The mortally injured woman, 31, was later pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital, police said.

“The vehicle did not remain at the scene and continued traveling north. There are no arrests,” a department spokesman said.

The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is probing the incident.
