Video has shown the moment a man fed up with Queensland’s youth crime performed a citizen’s arrest on a teenager who was allegedly in a stolen car a Range Rover in Gold Coast.

The footage posted to Instagram and Facebook shows a man chasing the allegedly stolen car in Highland Reserve in Gold Coast.

The man said he noticed the car badly damaged driving past his home and sensed something wasn’t quite right so decided to chase after them.

He is filmed driving on the wrong side of the road in an attempt to stop the car.

The girl eventually jumps out of the car and the man makes a citizen’s arrest with zip ties.

Queensland Police allege the group of teens were involved in multiple car chases throughout the week and also stole a BMW from a real estate agent.

The 14-year-old girl has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court at the end of this month.
