Why Isn’t ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ on Today? Here’s When New Episodes Will Return

If you were hoping for a new episode of The Drew Barrymore Show this morning, well, you’re out of luck. The hit daytime talk show has been on an odd schedule lately — with reruns airing both last Friday (April 28) as well as the rest of this week.

Earlier this week, football legend Tiki Barber stepped in for Ross Mathews at the Drew’s News desk. Plus, Drew Barrymore set a couple up on an awkward blind date right there on the stage. And on Wednesday (May 3), she bonded with Dove Cameron over getting tattoos at a young age.

While this week has been jam-packed with fun, new episodes of Drew, we understand if you’re wondering why the week was cut short.

Luckily, we have the answers! Read on for more information.

Why isn’t The Drew Barrymore Show on today?

We’re not exactly sure why The Drew Barrymore Show isn’t airing a new episode today. While we originally thought it might have something to do with the ongoing writer’s strike shutting down production on CBS’s The Talk and nearly all the late night shows, The Hollywood Reporter says that Drew has wrapped production on its current season, so it has not been affected by the strike.

When does The Drew Barrymore Show return?

The Drew Barrymore Show will return with new episodes on Monday, May 8 — meaning we have two days of reruns. Pulling from February of this year, today will feature Barrymore’s interview with P!nk, while Friday’s (May 5) episode will be a rerun of Jesse Williams‘ December 2022 visit to the studio.

When does The Drew Barrymore Show Season 3 end?

Unfortunately, The Drew Barrymore Show Season 3 is coming to an end sooner than we’d like. According to the show’s rep, the final original episode of the season will air on Thursday, May 11.

Will there be a Drew Barrymore Show Season 4?

Yes! The Drew Barrymore Show was renewed for Season 4 earlier this year.

“This season, The Drew Barrymore Show debuted a new reimagined half-hour format, which has been an undeniable success,” Steve LoCascio, President of CBS Media Ventures, said in a statement, per TV Line.

LoCascio added, “Ratings have grown 70% year to year, and creatively, the show is better than ever. Drew makes news every day with her insightful celebrity interviews and welcoming style. Nobody does it better. We’re thrilled to have her in the CBS family.”
