Patrick Beverley takes his conditioning seriously.
The Chicago Bulls guard explained why he has a no-sex policy before games in the latest installment of his Barstool Sports podcast.
“I don’t have sex the night before games,” Beverley said before his co-host, Rone, mentioned keeping his legs fresh.
“I want to have fresh [legs,] you know what I’m saying?
“Wifey gon’ kill me, though.”
Beverley is in a relationship with Mandana Bolourchi, an Iranian-born fashion entrepreneur.
“It’s hard, though, because you got a game every other day and s–t,” Beverley, 34, said. “So, when I was in L.A. … I don’t want to get too deep, but hey wifey.”

Beverley stopped himself and gave a “shoutout” to Bolourchi.
“I don’t think people know our history though,” he said, adding that he wasn’t sure if he could elaborate on their relationship.
“Some Iranian backstory that people aren’t aware of?” Rone asked, to which Beverley agreed.
“Interesting, because she’s been a very outspoken human rights activist,” Rone said.

“I call her Princess of Dubai,” Beverley gushed, adding, “She has three Rolls Royces.
“I’m lucky. I like to feel like I’m one of the chosen ones. I attract good energy also.”
It’s unclear how long Beverley and Bolourchi have been dating.
The entrepreneur has supported Beverley on the court since at least 2021, according to her Instagram.

Beverley began the 2022-23 season with the Lakers, and was dealt to the Magic before the trade deadline.
The veteran guard was then bought out by Orlando and signed a deal with his hometown Bulls.
“I’m excited about his year, man,” Beverley said.
“I’m feeling good. I’m feeling healthy. I’m having so much fun… I’m so f–king happy.”
