The “Below Deck” franchise has taken Bravo’s cast, crews, and producers to several different corners of the globe. The original “Below Deck,” for example, has filmed in places such as Antigua, The Bahamas, and the British Virgin Islands (via E! News). And that’s just naming a few! Likewise, “Below Deck Mediterranean” has led its cast to Thailand, Spain, and Malta, per Travel Off Path. Now, “Below Deck Adventure” has gone where previous “Below Deck” casts haven’t: Norway — particularly, the Norwegian fjords, per IMDb.
According to Scandinavian Standard, Norwegian fjords are “narrow inlets of the ocean between cliffs,” which were created once “glaciers retreat, allowing the sea to fill in the remaining space.” Per the article, there are over 1,100 fjords in Norway and they’re all revered for their natural beauty. Unlike past iterations of “Below Deck,” the Nordic Fjords are much chillier; however, Captain Kerry Titheradge believes that this will set them apart from the other shows. “It’s a totally different set of customers and guests,” Titheradge said, adding that, “We went biking down Trollstigen road, this road that has dozens of hairpin turns. They went paragliding, horseback riding. We got classy and did a fashion show in the caves” (via Entertainment Weekly).
