The city with the cleanest air in New Zealand is the capital Wellington.

Known as “Windy Wellington”, the natural high winds help shift toxic air pollutants out of the city, but the city’s structure, which has controlled urban sprawl, also means all citizens live close to their working spaces or can easily reach them on public transport.
