First, I want to say what a MIRACLE – praise Jesus.

Second, I want to offer our condolences to the poor rally attendee who suffered what apparently was a headshot at the hands of this (these?) bastard.

What I’m going to try to do is catch up with what we know for sure since I broke this in the headlines a couple minutes after it happened and Jazz had a chance to get a post up.

So what started with hubs and I switching to the weekend news on CBS less than two hours ago turned to this.

Holy crap.

Secret Service hustled the president off the stage, wrapped in their protective turtle, but not before he pumped his fist defiantly in the air and shouted “FIGHT! FIGHT!”

I was confused at first – how did someone shoot at him without hitting people int eh crowd behind? And the round report are clearly audible in the video. At least four when Trump first grabs his ear and goes down, and then maybe five afterward.

But once I saw a longer video, where his head was turned toward the bleachers behind him, I realized the bullets must have run parallel to the stage. That was a miracle in itself, too, as they seemed to be coming for the right-hand side.

But someone else was still hit besides the president and still has died. I’m not sure yet how many others. Details are sketchy.

Fox just read a statement: 

Shooter was killed by the Secret Service counter-sniper team.

In concert with the statement above I have two tweets. The first HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED but have heard it on 3 different major network news broadcasts, so keep it in the back of your minds as this unfolds.

This second one would lead me to believe the first of the rooftop corpse is legit.

So, that all ties together – the statement from the SS and both tweets.

Your reminder – as if you needed one – that you can’t hate the media enough.

The president has a chunk of his ear missing that’s big enough to be blamed on Mike Tyson.

If you didn’t get to see POTATUS stumble out a few moments ago to garble some words about the shooting (or what CNN characterized as an ‘incident’)…

… you won’t be surprised to know the President of the United States couldn’t use the word “assassination” about the attempt on the life of his political rival.

Biden had best get RFK Jr Secret Service protection, STAT.

Conspiracy theorists are already out in force on the Democratic side, as you would expect, so be prepared and don’t let them get to you.

But there are some already iconic photos of him coming out of this…

…that are going to make this horrifically sad day – a day I have worried about with you all in posts – one that Democrats will rue until the last donkey leaves its barn.

This is literally an open declaration of war on everything we hold sacred and the democracy the Left claims is in peril. We know damn well it is, and we know damn well from whom.

All my support and solidarity to President and candidate Donald Trump, victim of a COWARDLY assassination attempt that put his life and that of hundreds of people at risk. The desperation of the international left is not surprising, as today it sees its harmful ideology expire, and is willing to destabilize democracies and promote violence to screw itself into power. In fear of losing at the polls, they resort to terrorism to impose their retrograde and authoritarian agenda. I hope for the speedy recovery of President Trump and that the elections in the United States are held fairly, peacefully and democratically.

Our prayers to the family of the slain rallygoer and prayers up to continue to protect Donald Trump and this country.

Former President Trump issued a statement on the shooting incident at his rally in Pennsylvania on Truth Social.

“I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

The whirlwind will be nothing the Left can handle.
