Wet and gloomy weather is set to dampen most of the country this long weekend for King Charles’ birthday.

Melburnians will kick off the long weekend with a typical day of showers, clouds and winds.
Temperatures will sit between a high of 15 degrees and a low of 9 degrees.
Heavy rain, clouds and winds will persist over the city as temperatures remain the same.
Showers will loom but slightly ease by the afternoon as clouds and light winds continue.
The temperature will drop to a high of 14 degrees and a low of six degrees.

Northern suburbs will be under a morning fog before it clears to cloudy and windy conditions for the remainder of the day.
Similar to the rest of the country, rain will batter the city most likely in the evening as temperatures sit between seven and 17 degrees.
