What the Giants’ list of prospect visits says about their plans for the NFL Draft — and maybe beyond

Have a nice visit. Spend time with someone socially. Pay a call as an act of friendship or courtesy. Take a trip and connect with people, make new friends, reconnect with old acquaintances.

It sounds so pleasant, doesn’t it?

Visiting season is wrapping up around the NFL with the NFL Draft slightly more than a week away. Every club is allowed to schedule visits with 30 players, who travel to team facilities to spend a few hours touring and meeting with coaches and front-office executives.

These are not the first interactions the Giants will have with these players. They’ve seen them at the Senior Bowl or the East-West Shrine Bowl. They’ve seen all or most of them at the NFL Draft Scouting Combine. They take their own visits to watch players work out at Pro Days on their college campuses. The process is quite the deep dive.
